CLONTARF BAY HOUSE - RESTORATION|RENOVATION
We were thrilled to be part of the restoration, remedial, and renovation of this cherished harbour-side home, giving it a much-needed refresh. Our clients, who had recently purchased the property, engaged us to address significant issues and transform the space into their dream home. The house had long-standing internal dampness, moisture damage on the exterior, and persistent pool area seepage, which had caused irreparable staining to the existing pool pavers. The home as a whole required extensive external restoration. Additionally, the clients sought a more spacious and functional master suite, including a walk-in robe, ensuite, and larger bedroom.
The stairwell glass window needed repairs, and the balcony Vergola roofing was leaking, with failing waterproofing and stained tiles. The front entry lacked curb appeal, and the home, perched on a steep hill with breathtaking views of Clontarf Bay and the harbour, needed a transformation that would do justice to its location.
We meticulously planned every space and surface, knowing this project was more than just a renovation—it included large-scale restoration and remedial works. We expanded the scope to a year-long transformation, elevating the home’s facade with a soft white tone for a fresh look. The existing balcony roof was enclosed, adding circular skylights, heat strips, and a new BBQ area to enhance year-round entertaining completing the space with large-format tiles and seamless glass balustrading .
The pool area was completely reworked, improving drainage and restoring the pool, while the surrounding area was resurfaced with porcelain pavers. We designed a beautiful custom built cabana with large seating and custom upholstery , textured bronze screens, V Groove panelling and lighting.
Inside, we focused on creating a far more functional and luxurious master suite. The ensuite was expanded to feature a curved shower, double vanity, and custom white oak joinery paired with Crystallo Pink quartzite, adding elegance to the space. The master robe was redesigned with a long wall of hanging space, drawers, and a private open hanging section. Thoughtful storage and an improved floor plan made the space feel expansive and cohesive, offering sweeping views of the bay.
Each room was infused with carefully chosen materials and intricate detailing, weaving a timeless aesthetic throughout the home. The final result is a sophisticated, luxurious sanctuary that perfectly embraces its stunning location and offers the perfect retreat for its new owners.
